Group Walkies!

Ben had a great time with his doggie pals on a group walk today. Lots of chase games and running through puddles were enjoyed by all the dogs, apart from little Oscar he isn't keen on puddle! It was a tad chilly but that didn't spoil the fun. His pals Lucy (Labrador), Oscar (Jackapoo) and Robert (West Highland Terrier) came back to Ben's pad for playtime. There was lots of hair for me to sweep up but it was worth it to see Ben having so much fun!

Here are some pictures from the walk taken by LiveLoveLabs Photography https://www.facebook.com/livelovelabsphotography?fref=ts

  1. I just had to say that your post brought me to tears. We lost our reactive Lab, Gypsy exactly a year ago today, and I would have loved to see her enjoying herself with other dogs in the way Ben is obviously doing here. I think she was happy with us, but I could count the number of times she played with another dog on the fingers of one hand, in all her nearly 14 years.

We now have a 14 month old bundle of Husky x Inuit excitement, who loves to play with other dogs, and I love to see her happy to play. I just wish sometimes I could have give that experience to Gypsy. You are doing a wonderful job with Ben, and I wish you every success in the future.

    2. I am so sorry to hear about Gypsy, it must be so hard. Ben is my first dog so I haven't experienced the loss of a dog, but the thought of not having Ben in my life is upsetting. I am sure she was very happy with you and you gave her a great life, she may not have got that without you, with her being dog reactive. I am sure you have lots of happy memories.

Sounds like you have your hands full with your new girl! Sometimes I do feel a bit sad that Ben is not and will likely never be one of those dogs I can just let off the lead to greet other off lead dogs and play with them. But I have accepted this and I would not be without him, he is my best friend and he teaches me so much about dogs.

I really appreciate your comment, take care and all the best with your girl xx
